Chocolate Chip Cookies
I debated whether or not I should give this one away, but who doesn’t love a homemade chocolate chip cookie!
Prep Time: 25 min Bake Time: 15 min
Makes 24 cookies
Ingredients
2 cups + 2 tbsp All Purpose Flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
12 tbsp butter, melted
1 cup dark brown sugar packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg + 1 large egg yolk
2 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (or a few more if you like them really chocolatey)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit
Step 1:In a large bowl or mixer combine the dark brown sugar, granulate sugar, and melted butter. Mix until combined
Step 2: Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla. Mix until combined
Step 3: To the bowl add the flour, salt, and baking soda. Mix just until combined to prevent over mixing.
Step 4: Add chocolate chips and fold to combine. If you like extra chocolate chips/chunks feel free to eye ball them at this step!
Step 5: Place cookie dough in fridge for 15 min until slightly chilled
Step 6: Scoop 2oz balls of the dough and roll into smooth balls. Then take the ball of dough, break it in half and stick the halves together. Place on baking sheet lined with parchment.
Step 7: For that extra bakery touch, place a few more chocolate chips on top of the balls of dough.
Step 8: Place in oven for 15 minutes, or until golden brown, let cool on a cooling rack and enjoy!
